And as I said, it worked the hand before.

@westfred: Thanks. Yes, really very few hands played each level.....all the things you mentioned and don;t forget all the player tanking, players moving and tables breaking.... Makes it tough. It is an argument against playing tournaments!Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05767080296489122846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-72162939442485755592016-09-14T17:56:08.478-07:002016-09-14T17:56:08.478-07:00Another fantastic pic (and post). With 20 minute levels, you rarely see more than 10 hands an hour.

I don't play a lot of tournaments, but when I do and I get to later levels, I remember why I don't play many tournaments..westfredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15281773505774210711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-354250873431289562016-09-14T12:30:57.276-07:002016-09-14T12:30:57.276-07:00I understand. With 20BB you had time to wait for a better spot.Acehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02817046099646546543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-81128282076204989762016-09-14T12:25:35.026-07:002016-09-14T12:25:35.026-07:00Thanks again. As I said, my play there is pretty standard, the hand before I made the exact same raise and took it right there. The idea is to raise small so you can get away from it, depending on the action. Suppose I had a two all-ins following my raise? Suddenly my hand doesn't look so good and I can get away from it without much damage. I had chips to play with at that point, didn't have to risk it with that hand.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05767080296489122846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-5309916964283038772016-09-14T09:34:32.528-07:002016-09-14T09:34:32.528-07:00Yes, played one this week and will write a post ab...Yes, played one this week and will write a post about it. I don't play as many now as I used to. The reason I would open bigger is beacuse you want to price out hands that are worse than yours. Also, position matters...not sure where you were in this hand? I think you'll get more callers when asking them to put in $5k to win $11k then putting in $10k to win $16k. Just my opinion.

Congrats on cashing! Really enjoyed the post!Acehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02817046099646546543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-51448796518851786602016-09-13T22:19:19.034-07:002016-09-13T22:19:19.034-07:00Thanks, Ace.
Do you play many tournaments? Prett...Thanks, Ace.

Do you play many tournaments? Pretty standard to open a pot for 2.5x the big blind (assuming you don't have to just shove). In fact, at that point in the tournament (late), a raise of just two big blinds is common an very often not called.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05767080296489122846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-30884893592341408922016-09-13T22:04:12.688-07:002016-09-13T22:04:12.688-07:00"Ace-Queen off. I would open 8 to 10K and it's an all-in if you get raised.Acehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02817046099646546543noreply@blogger.com
