Interesting note about Grump, if that's the case, I'm somewhat surprised he didn't comment and give me the link to his post, he usually does that.

I saw AA vs KK vs QQ a couple of nites ago. The QQ guy was the original raiser and read that the limp/shove from the old guy meant AA, so he folded. He was right. Aces stacked that Kings. I guess I'll mention that in a future blog post.

Many years ago when I was still playing 2/4, I had QQ, gal next to me had JJ, a guy had KK and two players had AA! Every betting round was maxed out and the KK hit his set to take a huge pot. I think I folded on the flop, or at least on the turn. In a NL game, everyone probably would have gotten it all in preflop (maybe)!Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05767080296489122846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-45252415466507308632013-03-24T09:23:27.837-07:002013-03-24T09:23:27.837-07:00Grump had a post where someone laid down kings to ...Grump had a post where someone laid down kings to his aces after investing half their stack. Doubt I'll ever be that good. I play a lot of 3/6 (in Arizona)and will raise preflop with big pairs but when you have 4 or 5 see the flop need to play very carefully post flop as no bet you can make will run off the chasers.

First hand of a tourney once I got dealt aces and it went raise, reraise before it got to me. I shoved and got snap called in both places. Yikes! AA vs KK vs QQ. King was door card but rivered an Ace for nice first hand. Sadly didn't make the money as later my KK went down to JJ. Sure makes you nervous when there is a lot of action before you when you have those big pairs though.

itchyskippyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18251783168171261048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-5111475745260347432013-03-24T02:22:58.946-07:002013-03-24T02:22:58.946-07:00Thanks Woody, definitely not any of those ladies. ...Thanks Woody, definitely not any of those ladies. but I did see two of the three women you mentioned today. You should be able to steal a decent number of pots, and when you hit your set, you will be able to play for stacks more often (i.e., it generates better implied odds).

At an aggressive table, better to limp-call and set mine.Grange95https://www.blogger.com/profile/01857460215043659894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-21111764293374388982013-03-23T11:56:21.776-07:002013-03-23T11:56:21.776-07:00Thanks, Grange.
