So the better question is, if he noticed that, and he hadn't heard either a raise or a straddle announced, why didn't he ASK the dealer before putting out chips which it was????

Now that I think about it, that makes his action even stupider. Neither was announced, but he knew to put out three bucks instead of one to just call. At that point, (before betting) he should have asked for clarification. The dealer would have said it was a straddle, and I suppose he might have made his argument there, "Well, you didn't announce it." But that wouldn't have changed anything.

I don't recall him asking if, after the floor ruled that it was indeed a straddle, he could pull back his three bucks. I suppose ONE TIME, I might have allowed it, since the dealer wasn't claiming to have announced the straddle. But he didn't make that case, he just got totally pissed and left. Good riddance.

Honestly, if you see a $4 bet in front of the UTG player at 1-2 game, 99% of the time it is a straddle, because a min raise UTG is an incredible stupid bet (as I noted in my post). I mean, I can't think of any hand I could have where that bet would make any sense at all.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05767080296489122846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-40093271448339767702014-11-12T09:33:25.566-08:002014-11-12T09:33:25.566-08:00what hooker story????????? dammmmmm Rob when was t...what hooker story????????? dammmmmm Rob when was this?? also, sweeet pic tooangerisagifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01945967112589502437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-32419376762758724012014-11-12T05:27:42.655-08:002014-11-12T05:27:42.655-08:00I don't blame the guy for voting with his gamb...I don't blame the guy for voting with his gambling dollars. If I don't like a ruling I'm likely to do the same thing when in Vegas...pick up and go play somewhere else. My problem with him is that he's upset that the straddle wasn't announced, but he's totally fine that the raise wasn't announced. Gee, sir, how ever did you know to place an additional $3 out there if you didn't SEE the extra chips in front of the UTG player?JT88Keyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14030012435363552208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-28368600181526510102014-11-11T23:32:11.629-08:002014-11-11T23:32:11.629-08:00As far as I'm concerned, all straddles are evi...As far as I'm concerned, all straddles are evil.....but I know what you mean.

It was the under the gun straddle, the only kind this poker room allows.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05767080296489122846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-52905686120629745202014-11-11T20:20:46.197-08:002014-11-11T20:20:46.197-08:00sooooooo was it a good straddle that is proper or ...sooooooo was it a good straddle that is proper or the EVIL kind???angerisagifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01945967112589502437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-50834160725478824142014-11-11T18:29:23.189-08:002014-11-11T18:29:23.189-08:00Poker, grrouch......not "poke her."Poker, grrouch......not "poke her."Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05767080296489122846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283462864090963789.post-91727419921989851472014-11-11T18:28:49.631-08:002014-11-11T18:28:49.631-08:00The Slut Parade IS a visual game.
