Big News: I've Joined the AllVegasPoker.com Team!!!

I am very happy to announce that I have just officially joined the AllVegasPoker team!  Please see the announcement here.   

I will be responsible for keeping all the information on the Vegas poker rooms accurate and up-to-date.  

Very excited to have a job in an industry I love, at long last.

I suppose this means I might have to take a few more trips to Vegas than I have been in order to make sure all the information is right.  Oh well, I guess I can live with that. :)

Thanks to to Jon Friedberg, Brian Easterling and all the great folks at AVP for this exciting opportunity.

      Thanks, Pete. My work for them won't be forum-related, but I do contribute regularly to them, and they are quite good. Much more readable than the forums at 2 + 2, in my opinion.

    I kind of gave up on AVP after it started to turn into 2+2 Lite. Maybe I'll give it another try. I have a feeling the room reviews are going to get a little lengthier. :P

      Actually Jeff, nothing will change about the room reviews. I won't be writing them; in fact, for some time now, the reviews have just been done by the forum members and not by any official AVP team members. That is to insure objectivity. My job is to be Joe Friday ("Just the Facts"). And on the site itself, I will be careful not to offer my opinions of any poker rooms.

      Good thing I've generally used false names on the blog. In fact, I may have to go over my old posts and replace real room names with fake names, where I didn't originally use fake names.

      In the meantime: All OPINIONS EXPRESSED ON THIS BLOG ARE MY OWN AND DO NOT REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF ALLVEGASPOKER.COM.

      You should definitely check out AVP again, I've actually gotten a lot of great input and feedback from the forums that's really helped me with my game.

    Sincere congrats Rob. As a notorious job jumper, I know how hard it is to find a paying gig in an industry that you love. Please don't become jaded and grouchy. And don't neglect us at BSC while you move up in the world.

      I'll never neglect BSC--but I may have to play other places on occasion.
