Sunset Station poker room looks to recapture glory
My latest column for Ante Up Magazine is online and you can read it here. It will probably be another week or two before it starts appearing in poker rooms around the country.
I remember when I first moved to Vegas and would play in the Sunset No Limit game once or twice a week. Sure it was 8-9 people who knew each other but the fun part was they mostly just paid attention to beating each other and putting moves on each other and mostly seemed to ignore me.
There were quite a few nights when it was starting to get to 2 or 3 am and the game got down to 3-5 handed and we decided to just raise the stakes to 5/5 NL so that we were playing for pots instead of $3-5 at a time. Good Times.
Do they give you a word-count limit, or do you submit your piece and they trim it. (Not implying you are long-winded or anything.)
ReplyDeleteOf course they give me a word count, and I always hit it within 50-75 words.

Sounds fun. I actually never have played in the room. Maybe once my article gets out, and the room is booming :) , I'll be able to play there!
DeleteThis summer, during the WSOP when there are likely to be games going even there, lets plan a trip down to some of the off beat swanky rooms sir
DeleteVery intriguing idea. I recommend Poker Palace as our first stop! :)
