Not happening.
I am in L.A., in a hospital, waiting to be told when my Triple Bypass Surgery is scheduled. Should be by Monday, the latest.
The problem was caught early, which is good, obviously. There's no reason why I shouldn't have a complete recovery. But it won't be quick, for sure. After I am released, I am looking at six weeks of limited activity and no driving. So Vegas, or any form of live poker, is out during this period.
So I won't have much if any of my usual content to write up.
The circumstances that got me here might be interesting though, and after I am able to write again, I may turn this (temporarily, at least), into a hospital story blog (one story even involves a medical tech who likes to martingale blackjack!)
We'll just have to see what develops.

ReplyDeleteGood luck Rob. I had a triple bypass 18 months ago, after having a heart attack. I know what you will be going through, so hang in there buddy. Believe me there is light at the end of the tunnel. Take it easy, and do nothing strenuous. I hope you have someone who can take care of you, and flash some boobs at you to brighten your days.

ReplyDeleteI'm late to this, since I was traveling Friday/Saturday. Sorry to hear of the troubles. Also sorry that this means I won't get to see you in Vegas when I'm there in a couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Grump....I did think of you during this time. My original plan would have had me returning home just before your arrival in Vegas. But when it appeared, however briefly, that I might be able to just delay the trip by a week or so, I did consider the benefit would have been that I'd be in Vegas for your visit. Alas, not to be. Good luck and have fun in Vegas.
