LightNing Squats to a New Low

Lightning has a special "expose" of my blog on his blog, so I just gotta link to it.  I am truly and deeply honored to get this kind of attention, especially by someone who dresses so well.

Check out the guy in the backwards baseball cap!

    1. Thanks Josie.

That's disappointing to learn that Lightbulb and I are the same age, I was actually thinking of adopting him as my foster child. He needs guidance.

    2. Rob, you can't teach an OLD dog new tricks.

    3. It's true; I haven't learned any new tricks in years.

    2. I think Lightbulb was referring to me, Josie. But I'll definitely watch him....to make sure I know what NOT to do.

  3. Baseball managers love to run out of the dugout and get in the umpires face. If you touch the umpire, you are ejected, and face suspensoin and a fine. So, managers such as Billy Martin would turn their ballcap around backwards so they could get in the ump's face and jaw with him without the bill of the cap accidentally touching the ump. It wasn't long before kids started doing the same. P.S. I sometimes wear mine backwards (especially when shooting photos) - does that make me a bad person?

    1. No, of course it doesn't make you a bad person, MOJO. I'm not one of those holier-than-thou jerks who thinks just because someone disagrees with me that person is bad.

      Just, you know, WRONG.

Every election, more or less half the population votes the wrong way; they're not bad people (most of them), their just not as smart as I am! :)

So you';re wrong, not bad, MOJO.

BUT....I appreciate the history lesson. I had no idea that we had Billy Martin--one of my all time least favorite people in sports--to thank for this annoying trend. That explains a lot.

As for you, if you have a GOOD reason for wearing the cap backwards, like it would get in the way when snapping pics, then I've no problem with it.

      Otherwise, you're just...wrong.

      But still a good guy.

  4. Sorry MOJO, you are now one of "us."

btw -- I was just watching an Earl Weaver rant where he put the cap on backwards.

    1. Nope, Lightning, see above, MOJO is still a good guy.

But YOU on the other hand....for intentionally provoking me, you ARE a bad person.

OK, I'm kidding. I'll reserve judgement until I see how you react to the ass-whopping you get at the hands of Josie.

    1. That day is coming in 2 1/2 weeks. You should be afraid. If you don't believe me, just ask my son. Ooo you called me a babe! But still!

    2. I hope to get enough blog posts for a year out of just being a witness to the Lightbulb/Josie reunion.
