Quickie Update

All the doctors say I'm doing really well. Of course I'm still in a lot of pain and discomfort but the docs know best.  Got out of surgery about 48 hours ago.

No idea when I'll be back to a normal routine. It will probably be a while

Hopefully I can get back to doing some writing sbout the ordeal soon.

  1. Hi Rob,
I've been a multi-year reader of your blog and have been impressed by your writing skills. Your humble attitude along with your story-telling and personal anecdotes regarding small stakes poker are entertaining as well as educational. Your commenters comprise a great cast of insightful characters. I look forward to future blogs and wish you a speedy and full recovery.
PS I'd like to comment under my SN (Pybop)but do not know how to do so under your comment format.

    1. Thanks very much, Pybop, I appreciate the Kudos. I dunno what you mean by "SN" but I guess you were able to comment!

    2. SN = screen name
Your reply format does not seem to allow me to comment under my screen name.

    3. Actually, all you have to do is choose the option "Name/URL". Put your SN in the top line, and just leave the second line (URL) blank. That should work.

    4. Thanks Rob,
What a simple fix. My world-class non-tech skills rank right up there with TBC's world-class poker skills.
If this works I will progress from a frequent reader to a frequent commenter.
Now hurry up and get better.

  5. Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery. I'm sure Josie's boob-flash helped. I only had a headache, and it helped me!

  6. You're on the road to recovery, Hopefully you continue down that right Road and you'll be back good as new before you know it. Are they giving you anything at all for the pain? I've never been through it before but I know people that have and the pain of one's chest being cracked open is indescribable.

  10. Great to hear you came out the other side, albeit in a shitload of pain. Hang in there my friend, take your time and just lie there and flirt with the nurses. (Preferably the female ones only).

  11. Oh good. Do you need stuff like crossword puzzles? Stay put and listen to the professionals. Should we send you a cough pillow in the shape of a chip that says "Las Vegas" on it?

I think I will turn to TBC for medical advice tho? Sound good?
